A Larkham Gregan Tribute(y) & Tidbits...
July 6th 2007 02:41
Yes another Larkham Gregan Rucks and Rolls post.
Come on sportsfans and other people...Saturday night's match is the last time Larkham and Gregan will play on home soil. It's a big deal.
This tribute was put together by the Sydney Morning Herald and is a bit boring...not the images nor the information...and certainly not the subjects....just the droning voice but you always have the option of volume control, off.
A Tribute to Stephen Larkham and George Gregan

Larkham is not Margaret okay????
...and I wonder if they rename it Green & Gold Class....?
And if Adam-Cooper wants to be taken seriously Rugby circles, he better stop the "gushing"
I'm the only one that can get away with it with dignity intact.
(sfx. crickets chirping...still don't understand why this represents silence...I mean hello?...you can hear the freakin' things...)
....hahahahahahahahahahahahah ahahahahaha!!!!!!!!!!
To find out why the mirth moved for me...see this post....
...and a very disturbing Tidbit;
This gives reason for arant post all on its own.
I will tell you now that the "destabilising influence" is just JP calling a spade a tool...

Premiere trio
For years, Stephen Larkham and Stirling Mortlock have attended the movies the night before big Test matches.
Rugby's version of David Stratton and Margaret Pomeranz now has a third member - Adam Ashley-Cooper.
He admitted in the RUPA newsletter this week that last week they went "Gold Class". "I'll do that again," Ashley-Cooper gushed.

Rumours of the week
Red faces at the ARU after using Lote Tuqiri as their prime advertising tool for the Springbok Test.
And a Qantas ad, which is emblazoned on billboards all over the place, which shows Tuqiri squirting teammates with grog, now looks in decidedly poor taste.

Jeremy Paul's days as a Wallabies hooker are over.
Selectors cited poor form as the reason but numerous influential figures also believe he is a destabilising influence within the team.

They'd agree too much.
Mortlock: "That was a bloody good film that one."
Larkham: "Yeah, mate. I enjoyed it too."
I'm curious as to what films they watch now. At a guess? Anything David Stratton doesn't like.

...not just with laughter...but with your kindness... and friendship.
Thank you Cara...thank you David...for going through these posts!!!
...yes you're right Cara..but Margaret is a female and I don't want any 'girlie skirt' comments thrown at Larkham!...Margaret is very funky though..
...and I don't know what kind of film they would have watched.
I am just guessing here but it makes a weird kind of sense that before a big test match they would watch something...blockbuster-y...to psyche them up... I don't think they'd watch something sad.
You have to watch this match.
Thank you both my sweet pal and my sweet Cara...
Have a great weekend...

David darlin'....I think you're right...that would be the perfect movie to watch....they do need to transform themselves from Men to well oiled machines...plus it wouldn't require much thought, just mindless entertainment...they can clear their minds and get psyched....plus it's the whole good triumphant thing...and we all know that The Wallabies are good.
Go you GOOD thing!! Yeah baby!!

Larkham: Can you believe David Stratton bagged this movie?
Mortlock: Yeah, I can. He watched it with John Connolly.
Larkham: Oh, okay, that explains it.
Mortlock: Giteau saw the trailers. Loti didn't make it to the cinema.

I'll do my best to watch the match tomorrow night.
I'm catching up with (ex-girlfriend) Tracey tomorrow night (she's in Adelaide for business until Monday - the things people do with jobs).
Even though she's staying at the Ramada Grand (which has Foxtel) I'm sure she won't be ultra keen on watching the match live, but she's a sportshead (and a pisshead), so I'm sure I can get her to watch the replay at 11.30.
We haven't caught up for about 9 months, so I'm not anticipating an early night (unless we both get lucky, but I can't see that happening).
We'll probably even kick on afterwards.
I might even make it a subject of a post. She'll have a digital camera with her, so I'll make sure we get heaps of pics.

I'm definitely aiming for a new Blog Tag Pic. (But definitely no nipple shots, okay? Only immature content).
As for Percival St style drinking? I'm not sure what we'll have after our first twenty beers.
