Post-castinating....

Eeeeeek!
I am feeling really, really guilty for not having posted for a while. Not because I haven't wanted to but because.......
No. I haven't wanted to.
Problem is, for me, once something starts feeling like an obligation...rather than pleasure...I'm just not that into it you know?
(lucky I don't ever feel that way aboutsex Rugby....)
...and I have been busy and when I get really busy, I get lazy...so busy being busy that I get lazy when it comes to 'free time'...does that make any sense?
I have had the time to read and vote and occasionally comment on some wonderful posts but something had to give and I need to sleep...
Actually...having had a 'look around' earlier tonight...a few bloggers are MIA...once in a Blue Moon thing this...
There is sooooooo much happening in Rugby right now....so so much.
Super 14 season is over, as of last weekend.
It was over for me 2 weekends ago when mybelusted Larkham's beloved Brumbies hopes got dashed by the dastardly Reds.
Although the Brumbies won their match...in spectacular fashion...and I really must write about this because it was Larkham and Gregan's final Super 12/14 match ever AND the Brumbies were not expected to win this match (...either - see this post but please don't expect maturity...I'm too old to be mature...)...statistically speaking, the Qld Rds needed to win their match that weekend, in order for the Brumbies to move ahead in points.
The Reds lost. 92 - 3. Yes. 3.
Aneewayy.
....it's test match season!!
The first Wallabies match is this weekend (v Wales) and guess what sportsfans?? (and those that are curious)...the match should be on free-to-air (Australian Channel 7) so now you can all see STEPHEN LARKHAM in his glory.
I'll keep you posted.
Obligation free.
And then I'm going on a blog binge. Bloglimia. Or is that post binge? Postlimia? Am I babbling? I am aren't I? Can one babble through the written word? What's the term for that? Blogling? No...blogling would be the blog jnr....I'm confused...I gotta go...
Be well sportsfans. And those that are curious.

I feel what you're saying. There is a big gap between December 2006 and March 2007 when I didn't post anything.
Basically I had so much to do and so little time. And EXACTLY like you mention, it started to feel a bit more as an obligation. Big responsibility to provide text every day to readers, unless you want to lose them. And then it's all over again.
I lost them, but when I did my come-back, this spring, I got more than I ever could imagine. Not much, but for me it is.
Anyway, I did return mainly because I felt this urge to be able to write freely without pressure, even if I know it needs to be done every day. The secret is to express yourself at the same time as you keep it within your blog's topic. I think you're the best of us all at doing that, considering your free thoughts in a blog about rugby (there are other blogs with creative writers that express themselves as well, but often their blog is without topic, ie a diary where they're supposed to do that).
However, if I write about something I love, ie rugby or movies, and then feel I must do it, I instantly feel afraid of loosing that pure pleasure I had before all the blog-stress.
But it's nice when someone appreciates it... *pointing at you*.
I hope you find the rhythm again, because even though I never understand anything about the rugby-talk, I enjoy your style and positive energy.
Have a nice one,
peeker
*this comment is the longest I've made so far, forgive me.

Blogging is like sex.... when freely given...magnificient and when obligated (like every Saturday night whether you like it or not with the lights off) a chore. Guilt
sexblogging is the asolute worst! Thanks for the update. Hope you don't stay a "one night stand" [wink]Mis

it's great to take those breaks. They are well needed and help us to not get totaly bored with it all. i think one reason i'm not bored is because i write about everyday life and we're pretty busy people. not as much in the wonter, so writing will be spread out. theres only soo many times you can say "Family game night, watched DVD's, put a log on the fire.... <grins>
glad your here. take those breaks you need and then get on back here. <soft smile>

I never feel O(Blog)ated to (h)Or(i)ble...
Sure. That's where we get the name of the city Babylon. (Babble on). Or, to be more precise, Babylon is the origin of the word babble.

It's great to see you and I don't think there's anything wrong in not wanting to Orble. I don't see it as other things in life that are obligatory....to me it's supposed to be fun and something to enjoy and if you feel like a break, then that's great.
Sometimes I just roam through Orble and don't comment, I think it's all up to each person's wishes.....
Good to see you, Dusk, write when you feel like writing!

....oh so true...being in the mood to make blog...to have multiple blogasms!...morgasms?...is truly mindblowing.
...well...for me...
...I've tried to make the mirth move...to keep me coming back for more but unfortunately at the moment...like an elite athlete or...a monk...I need to keep my essence within...aka...need to focus on the stuff that pays the bills!!...so maybe just casual text...
Super Bunny...always a pleasure...!

Thing is...I didn't purposely take a break...yes, at the moment I'm very busy but...we all are in one way or another and seeing as my occupation requires me to spend long hours at my computer, writing...it's no big stretch to switch windows...but...
I'm just not in the mood to blog.
I never get bored. I just get "not in the mood'. To blogwrite ie...
I certainly never get bored with the topic I (am supposed to) blog about.
And I never get bored with writing.
It's like this.
I can have an entree and a main course and be completely full...can eat no more...but...my palate requires a different taste...so bring on dessert.
That makes no sense.
...and blogging makes no dollars!...but that is not why I blog.
much warmth Tammy...thanks for your lovely presence...

That makes perfect sense to me, Dusk. I've been feeling much the same way. Lately, with the little time I've had free, I've just wanted to do absolutely nothing.
I hope you are well, and not working too hard!

I'm not sure... but imagained Wendi was thinking .. 'wouldn't it be nice if everything were Cadburys.." ... so as to have your cadbury's ...and eat it too?
I'm only guessing, mind.. Wendi can clarify it better, perhaps? *lol*
Reminds me of a van I saw going to town the other day. It was a psychadelic bongo-van and was painted with a huge slogan right across the back section, saying : "Honk your horn if you'd like to be dipped in chocolate and thrown to the lesbians..."
I thought David might be at the wheel, but remembered he didn't have a ca atm *lol*
going now sending pyaar ...
