Glow-bal Warming in the (sant)Arctic
August 9th 2007 07:38
Firstly, apologies to all the Environmental and Climatology bloggers...but believe me, I'm not stepping on your toes...nor on your territory.
I'm on Terra tongue Firma in cheek.
Anyway...
If you want to see the latest on the melting North Pole... please visit the
and connect to SatCam weather satellite.
If nothing else...please just focus on the message at the end.
...and remember what I'm on...
Hope this adds a glow to your cheeks.
Oh. And please do visit the 'mother' site...just to keep track of things....
Post Script:
May I add that I'm not buying the whole "it's purely our fault" pop culture belief.
Yes, I believe it's happening. Yes, I believe we have contributed to the acceleration
And yes...I do firmly believe that the Earth will do what the Earth wants to do.
Earth is a woman that way.
So...yes, I do believe that despite our best and worst efforts to take the credit...we are merely a shadow of a freckle on herstory...
Why turn fact into friction?
No. I do not wish to debate my beliefs.
I don't question yours.

This is the bit that appeals to me most in this mass-debate over whether huge blocks of mass are dripping familiar liquids:
I don't question yours.
Touche, ole and alleluia to madmen and monks!!!
Back in the days before I became an environmental
horse-whippergossipy horse-whisperer (before I realised I was knackered if my only claim to fame was being a virtual jockey and flogging a dead horse at the Kentucky Derby), I was an explorer. With my staff and rod planted firmly in my hand, I set off to the virtual north pole in the comfort of my heated cabin in the wilderness near the Unabomber's shack, to save the world from evil, reciting the following lines from Psalm 22 as I followed a course designed to avoid the FBI CIA and right-wing Muslim, terrorist fanatics of the non-American kind. God Bless America (source - the US $1 bill - just ignore the Freemasonic symbols of a pyramid with an eye in it, okay):Thy rod and thy staff, they have comforted me. Thou hast prepared a table before me against them that afflict me. Thou hast anointed my head with oil; and my chalice which inebriateth me, how goodly is it!
I'd like to see more non-religious posts myself. I've pretty much had a gutful of virtual Yankee Pilgrims.
