Verdict In.Jury Out. The Cut-ler did it!
September 28th 2007 22:00
"Well...my head feels fine...but (eclipsis)"
The Wallabies have been plagued by a run of injuries that has made the Titanic look like a natural disaster. No I don't know what that means either....
They've been dropping one by 10...and the latest injury to Scott Staniforth has given merit to one theory...forget the butler...the cutler did it!
It's The Curse of The Clippers!
Coming off the bench in the second half of the Wallabies v Fiji match, Staniforth's injury occurred within 5 minutes when Adam Asley-Cooper's knee smashed into his right shoulder as he was tackled by a Fijian player.
Obviously this was not a move practised at training sessions....but get this....Staniforth had used the same hair clippers that Mark Gerrard and Stephen Larkham borrowed for close crops the day before their World Cup injuries
Wallabies utility back Mark Gerrard was sent home after rupturing knee ligaments with his first touch against Japan, while Larkham has undergone 2 sessions of surgery after aggravating chronic knee problems before the Wales Test.
Kneed-d I say more? Except Staniforth shouldered the problem...and he was hoping to be cleared for this weekend's match v Canada but it's a no go.
Staniforth said.
"Actually Mark Gerrard, myself and Stephen Larkham have all used the same clippers for our hair so we're throwing them in the bin. "They're Al Baxter's.
"We're not in his (prop) position so I don't know why he's cursing us."

Well...Forwards do like to clip their Wings...and flyhalves...

Why aren't you doing Ten's coverage?
You're a whole lot more entertaining!
Cheers champion

Rugby World Cup 2007
I just want those clippers to be passed on to Jonny Wilkinson.
...just for a close shave...
Aww shucks Beautiful People...you're too too kind but if Channel 10 was
crazykind enough to hire me, there would be some danger of their coverage being Channel the Perfect 10...seriously.Wonderful to see you both...hope you had a great weekend...
