So...What Kind of Blogger ARE You?

March 14th 2007 07:30
I have been really really busy all afternoon doing nothing.... and I'm feeling kind
of guilty because I should have been working but I was Orbling and I should have
been knuckling down and getting serious but I was laughing my head off with my
best friend and I should have been focusing...and I was.

Maybe not on the 'right' things....

Anyway...I'm feeling frivolous and focus-free and I found this while I was looking
for something else because believe it or not, (and why wouldn't you?) I have
been asked to write a journalistic piece about what it's like to be a blogger.

But that's another story.

So, this is my result....hmmm....not sure if this is me....and this would be your
cue my friends....

You Are a Snarky Blogger!
You've got a razor sharp wit that bloggers are secretly scared of.
And that's why they read your posts as often as they can!

The wrinkles being problems.
No irony involved...

So, no problem.

Dusk …

I’d love to do the test but it’s all too technical for me … I don’t know how to go about … Anyway, I’ve read the questions and here’s my answers without any results, I guess

Q 1 : Can’t answer the first question … there’s never been an election I’ve cared about in my life.

Q 2 : I’m not IT Savvy enough to understand question two. What is a link?

Q 3? As to which blogs I like?: I only like my own Blog. Thinking of changing my blog tag to Narcissus.

Q 4 about what people think of my blog?: When I get a comment on my blog for the first time, I’ll let you know if people like it or not.

Q5 What topics? … ? I’m quite illiterate … I don’t know the meaning of the word ‘topics’ ... Can I get back to you on that one, after I’ve looked it up in the dictionary? …

Q 6 Pet Peeve? I don’t have a pet called peeve … I have a dog called fuck off … I keep calling him, but I don’t know where he is …

Q 7 Why do I blog? : I’m not even sure if I do blog … I don’t understand it at all … I just write … what is blogging? …

What is a link?
A2: That which is missing.

A3: These are opposite to the ones you
don't like and less than the ones you love.

Ahmed...

Subtlety is lost on you.

And I, unlike you, do not use the relative
anonymity of the Net to instill myself with a
false sense of power.
I am here as I am in ‘the physical world’.
And I am not nasty by nature nor by
nurture.
My strength comes from within me and
not from my keyboard.

And by the way.....

Anonymous adj

having no known name or identity or
known source

Thereby, within the parameters of this
definition, I did not leave an
anonymous comment on your posts.
I typed my name.

Let me make it quite clear how I ended up at
your site.
I was on the Orble homepage when your
‘celebrity lookalikes’ post came up and I
thought....hmm...hasn’t Ash
(Flashes of Memories
link provided) already done this?
Which is what I wrote on your post.

And then I saw this;
‘The Stoned Goddess’.

I understand indifference and to a certain
extent, apathy but hatred is not part of my
make-up...I like bright colours.

Your hatred for David astounds me.
(and this was directed towards David. He
writes 'The Stone Goddess')

For the same reason you think it is your
prerogative to make derogatory remarks
about David from Mind Orgasms, on his
posts and your posts and any post, I see
it as my God and Human and Woman given
right to say how I feel in defense of a
friend.

I didn’t abuse you.
I quoted you.

It is also my right to sometimes get provoked
to the point of not bothering.
And I couldn’t be bothered logging in.
If the loss of points is what disturbs you so
much then I’ll revisit you and leave an empty
comment.
This is something you should be familiar with.

You seem to truly believe that you are
employing a great wit but in my eyes,
literally, you merely seek to incite a form
of anarkeyboard....

You are welcome to do this.
We all bang on about the Freedom of Speech
but only for ourselves.
I respect your right to write whatever
you want.
But I beseech you...do it elsewhere.

I have already wasted energy and time
writing this.
I sort of understand who you are Ahmed
and why you write the things you do.

I have children your age and although
they are very different in character, the
base similarity is there...
a need for acceptance.

Everybody wants it.
Even those who say they don't.
We all want to be accepted for who
we truly are.

I believe you truly may be a nice kid
but in the Big Picture, in MY Big Picture,
you don't feature.
You don't like me, you don't like David,
we're so "immature", blah, blah, boring...
I can't change your perception but...
why do you keep coming back?

If you dislike us so much....
Why keep coming back?

And that's what I mean by "a cry for
help".

Ahmed....please do not respond.
Do whatever you want on your posts
but please don't come back to mine.
I will delete any comment you make.

You are looking for something I am
not willing to give.

Dissatisfaction.

Comment by Ahmed

March 16th 2007 04:52
Nice long post, but you missed the point.

You logged out of your account and posted on my blog so that you wouldn't give me points, I don't know why you chose to do that but it was immature however you look at it.

Simple as that.

But to answer your question, I don't dislike you guys so much, in fact I don't dislike you guys at all, I enjoy reading your posts and dave's comments (definitely not his posts though) which is why I keep coming back. I am also not one to make verdicts on people and complete said verdict by ignoring them, the way I see it, the internet is a nice big place with almost no restrictions, so why impose a restriction on myself?

Comment by DuskDevi

Comment by Ahmed

March 16th 2007 05:05
Have you ever heard the saying 'don't feed the troll'? The idea behind it is relatively simple, you give said troll the last word.

I don't think I'm a troll but I would like to know why I'm unbelievable.

and I don't believe you simply couldn't be bothered logging in, I am not worried about the points, my site traffic isn't very much influenced by the points any post has, but I do see why you done what you did.
